Natives are reporting sightings of this lake monster since 19th century, and is described as 30-50 feet long creature with a serpent body.
That was the inspiration of my nail art today.
Everything was done freehand using acrylic paint and Winstonia - Berry Wine brush set.
As a base I used pretty Sally Hansen - Barracuda, and on the tips, I applied some loose blue glitters. My control of this glitter was not as good as I wanted, so I did have few loose glitters over the rest of the nail. This actually worked for me, as I imagined that as a water droplets.
After I finished with painting, I applied Sally Hansen - Big Matte Top Coat to smooth surface, and some glossy top coat only over the glitters, so they would be shiny like a water.
This year we had so much rain, that our lakes are at the highest levels, ready to overflow. Sudden heat wave did not help the matter either, with snow melt that bring down even more of the water...
So far, there is advisory to avoid use of boats on the lake, as even the smallest vessel can leave wake behind, that can bring more debris to the shore, but also they can damage the boats itself. This is the first time in more than 20 years that I live in this town to see our lakes free from anything this time of the year...
Hopefully, some of you may go boating on your own lake, but keep an eye open for possible discovery and sighting of your own lake monster.
Cheers!
