I received 5 sheets/set Ocean Summer Water decals BPY31-35, item #33976.
Above is just an example of the designs you can find in this set. In all honesty, I took the photos, and had intention of using this one first, because I think this was my favourite of the bunch... I changed my mind in the last moment, but really, does not matter which one of them I picked, all of them are awesome.
If you ever tried water decals from Born Pretty Store, you would know that size wise, they been rather small, almost child sized. Even though my nail beds are not big, there was no way that old decals would be enough for all five of my nails. There is no problem with new style ones. Here is photo that will speak louder and clearer than any of my words.
Truth is, I love water decals. I have enviable collection for one reason only - they are super easy to use, only tools you need is pair of scissors, and little bit of water. They are quick and easy art if you are in the rush, or you think that you are not talented or motivated enough to do any other kind of nail art.
Even though I do not use them often I love them. They are forgiving, and no matter how curvy your nails are, they will lay flat on your nail. That is most important thing for me. Nail wraps are no go for me, but water decals - just give me some!
They may pleat, but because they are super thin film, they lay flat, and creases and pleats are barely visible. After you add top coat, they will stay put, and invisible, unless you enlarge them enough to fit your computer screen... chances of that happening if you are not doing a review are slim to none.
There are two ways of trimming the excess decal:
1. You can use brush dipped in nail polish remover. They will dissolve, and disappear - so you may want to be careful not to touch parts that you want to keep on your nail.
2. You can leave excess on, and apply top coat on your nail. Decal will react with nail polish, and all you have to do is use tweezers to swiftly remove excess.
I used both methods, and even though they may look tricky, they both work equally well.
Those water decals are placed on the white backing, and all that you see white is actually clear. For that reason, it is recommended to use base nail polish under the decals.
I could go any color, as long as your base color is lighter than the colors on the decals, but I like sharpness of the white base.
I used OPI - Put a coat on! as a base for my water decals. I used decals from BPY-33 sheet.
I paired it with Different Dimension - Clutch and go.
Because I could not decide which side to use, I used one pattern on my left, and other pattern on my right hand, for a similar, yet different look. Here is how that looked.
I love colors here, such an happy, summery design. I used smallest of the decals here, and they been more than generous, there was lots to be removed around.
My non dominant had faired much better.
I totally recommending you to try some of those new water decals. Fun and easy manicure with a great detail. They remove like a regular nail polish, so there is no excuse for not getting them. I am sure you will love them as much as I do.
Have some fun this summer, and use my discount code SHGK31 for any of the full priced items in the store. Keep in mind that delivery can take some time, depending on the country they are shipped to.
