I did receive some heartbreaking news couple of days ago, that sucked the joy out of my life. Thing is, we all recover no matter how hard it feels at the moment. I am far from recovered, but taking my time... there is no rush for anything.
This was done week ago, when I felt like doing something different. It is combination of stamping and freehand with neon pigment gradient... everything but the kitchen sink.
Couple of years ago I purchased some neon pigments, and took me this long to finally take them out and try them on...
Whatever I had in mind, is totally different from what I actually got here.
I rubbed some green and blue neon pigment on the stamper head, then I just "stamped" it over the white polish. I was not in love with the look, so I stopped after the 2 nails.
Then I decided to stamp some banana leaves over this gradient, but it looked wrong somehow - image was too open, and with my small nails, you could not really see what was going on... so I added a banana tree, or at least what I thought it is a banana tree... This was totally not what I was going for, but it was here.
Then, on my ring and pinky, I wanted to try something I never did before - to create the neon sign. They did not look as bad from afar...
Went with flamingo and heart - tried to use some neon pink pigment that was not working for me, then I switched to acrylics... well, result is there for all to see.
In a way, they were a win, as I ticked something off of my "learn a new technique" list. There is a room for improvement, but you have to try it first, so you can see what you actually need to improve on.
It also seems that green/pink combo is my go to combo.
After a couple of days of numbing sadness, my brain is sill in fog... I better quit while I am ahead.
Thanks heavens tomorrow is Friday, which means weekend is around the corner!
Take care, and give your loved ones extra hug, as you never know when it will be the last one...
Cheers!
