That is exactly how I started here. I used One step gel from Madam Glam - Baby Girl as a base, as I do like to wear gel polish under my regular manicures. This is so neutral, that I can use pretty much any color over, and will not look weird. Thing is, I can remove any manicure I paint with regular polish any time without need to remove gel. That way I can still often change my nails, without constant drying effect of the acetone...
After I applied and cured Baby Girl, I sponged gradient on using a white nail polish. White I used here can be any white, but happened to be Jessica - Sharktooth. You can see the gradient on my ring finger the best, because that is the only nail I kept with original sponging.
I try to use up the open bottles of black and white polish I have on my desk at the time, so until one bottle is done, I do not touch other. That is the reason why you see me using the same polish over and over. Just being economical.
It was a long time since I had some geometric shapes manicure, and I figured, I will provide you with some variety. I would not want to see you die from boredom here... LOL.
I used images from Kelly Negri - KN25 stamping plate, and it seems that I can not have enough of that plate. I also might have some unposted manicures using the same plate over and over again. Makes me really happy that I purchased this plate on preorder from DRK Nails.
First I stamped image with Hit the Bottle - As Black As Night, then I realized that I want really solid colored tip of the nail, so I applied more of the Sharktooth. Nail time is me time, and more often than not, I have vague idea what I want to do, and lots of times I am clueless, and I just let manicure develop on its own, and that was case here. I do my nails as a way to relax, and to take my mind of off your everyday problems, and I just go with the flow - if one thing does not work, something else will...
After all of that dried, I decide to go with another layer of stamping and this time I picked DRK Nails - Silver Holo. I really like monochromatic color scheme and clean lines of the geometric design. This type of manicures are timeless, and can be worn anywhere, anytime.
What are your plans for the weekend? I will try to continue with my home renovation project, and I have to admit I am not my kids favourite person at the moment... they are my only help, and even though they are reluctant now, I am pretty sure that they will be on board and really happy with what they achieved with their own hands, they will forgot all about this little episode really soon.
This is all from me today, and guess what - weekend is almost here!
Cheers!
