Honestly, I would never thought to do manicure like that on my own. There is not enough interest on my side to attempt such a deed...
My first thought was to do a Cat Woman - then I remembered that I am too fat for the role. Then I figured, I will just be a damsel in distress, and will have my own superhero to save me.
That prompted me to think of superhero I would like to rescue me, and decided to be in team Superman!
I just swoon at this amount of blue spandex, and red cape is cincher :D.
Another thing is that Mr Clark Kent is kind of geeky looking, so there is that instant geeky connection between us... and those magical glasses that make him unrecognizable to his heart desire - Louis Lane...
Well - geeky and really easy on the eyes - real superhero material.
For this very simplified Superman manicure, I used only three nail polishes.
Gorgeous blue is China Glaze - Splish splash. This intense blue polish dries to a matte finish, but I really like this one glossy. Glossy finish brings out subtle shimmer, and makes this color even more brilliant.
Red is Moyra SP. 02 Red, and is actually stamping polish, but applied beautifully on my index finger, and one coat was enough. This one has such an high gloss I definitely did not expect to see from the stamping polish. Truth is this is only the second time I used stamping polish to polish my nail... I also used it to pick up image for decal.
Third polish I used is Hit the Bottle - Hello Buttercup. I love using stamping polishes for decal making. When used for decals, I really do not have to worry if my decal would be solid colored. Another bonus is that dries fast, so decal making is a breeze.
Image for Superman shield is on Y005 stamping plate that was in the set I purchased more than two years ago, and finally used for this manicure.
All is topped with Seche Vite - Fast drying top coat.
I wish all of you all a wonderful day, and just remember - you are somebody's superhero.
Cheers!
