For today I pulled something out of the unposted folder. I loved this at the time I done it, but then my health took the turn, and I did not have any energy for the posting.
As a base, I used Butter London - Fairy Lights, delicate metallic pink polish. This polish was too long sitting in a drawer, and I have to admit that this finish does not seem to be one I am reaching for very often. More often than not, those kind of the finishes can leave the streaky marks, but I have to admit this one applied pretty smooth.
This was as good base as any to apply sheer polishes. Image is big, buffet style image on Uber Chic - UC 11-02 stamping plate. I picked different parts of it, as they seem super pretty and I wanted to wear them on my nails. Sometimes, those kind of big, continuous images can be hard to use, as it can be really hard to isolate the specific imagery you want. That may be the reason why I actually picked the edges, as it made it easier to place on the nail, and to make sense of it.
For stamping, I used navy blue polish, then I was coloring in using sheer and semi-sheer polishes. Coloring was done after I placed the images on the nail, and this technique is called Led lighting. It reminds me of the colorful, stained glass windows of the churches or older buildings. I believe, because those glass pieces are held in with led, led lighting term comes from, but I could be so wrong...
Image on my ring finger reminded me of pineapple, and that is why I colored it this way. next time, it may stand for the sunflower... Your imagination is your only limitation.
Now, I am not sure if Monday's are my source of inspiration, or source of desperation... in any case, they always come after the Sunday, and we can't do anything about it, but adjust our attitude, and sail into a new week if nothing else, well rested.
Have yourself amazing week.
Cheers!
