The joke at the work is - It is getting warmer... I added - you know you live in Canada when you say that -14*C is warm...
To go outside, it is the best to be prepared: mittens, scarf and hat, as this cold is not really kind on your skin, hair, nails - last one especially.
Of all those I am most likely to wear the scarf. I even shoveled snow without gloves, and small wander that every one of those expedition would end up with one of the corners on my square nails missing.
On one of groceries shopping adventure :), my son picked for me L.A. Colors gift set on the clearance, containing two blue polishes (used today) and one pink plus bottle of top coat. I graciously accepted it, and promptly used it for this manicure.
I did gradient with two blue polishes, and none of them had a name. Lighter shade stamp like a champ- bonus points for that. Even though I am sick and tired of snow, I did stamp some snowflakes using snowflake image from Y006 stamping plate and Sally Hansen - Dark Hue-mor. I did really good job of covering up all of this with my accessories.
For my knitwear I choose this bright green Color Club - Glitter Envy. Everything was done freehand, and for accents I used white acrylic paint. My favourite part is fur trim on the mittens and pom-pom.
I love how this Glitter Envy looks like a real knitted items because of lighter glitter. This will be a fun shade to wear in the summer. Only thing I do not like - because all of the glitter in it, Glitter Envy is on the thicker side, and I do not like polish that is too thick - unless we are talking stamping polish.
There was even few rays of sunshine, and here was I, on -18*C taking photos of my nails outside... Go Canada!
I really liked this color combo. Cool blues and this electrifying green are perfect for each other.
Keep yourself warm and wrapped up and protected from the cold, and I will think warm thoughts in hope that will prompt spring to make early arrival.
Cheers!
