Kids were small, and we stopped to stretch the legs, and to take some fresh air as we still had couple of hours of drive ahead of us.
Away from the city lights, stars appear so much bigger and brighter. Sometimes you can see the hazy band of light that is made of stars that we can't see individually with our eyes. We see it as a band, as our galaxy - Milky Way is spiral galaxy, and seeing it from within that spiral it does appear as a band of light that we see.
I tried to achieve that effect with the use of magnetic polish.
Here I used one of the polishes I did not use in a while, Sally Hansen - Ionic Indigo.
It does not look much in the bottle, but once you apply the magnet, it just floors you. On the swatch I am wearing 2 coats of Ionic Indigo, and top coat. I was not quite yet into all the secret of the polish when this collection was released, and I purchased one on the clearance sale not really knowing what I purchased until I came home.
To my huge surprise, few years later, I spotted this collection at Dollarama, and I grabbed all the available shades without a second though. They apply fantastically, and effect is very strong.
Every lid came with the little wavy magnet on the cap, but I prefer to use my own, as I find them too small even for my nails...
Super simple stamping was done using Maniology - Bam! White stamping polishes.
Spiral image on my ring finger is on Winstonia - W417, while rest are on Kelly Marissa x MoYou London - 04 stamping plates.
I really love how this simple manicure came about. Some day simple does the job, and most of the job here was done by use of magnetic polish.
We are entering the Victoria Day long weekend here in Canada, and I have to admit, it feels good to have the extra day just for yourself.
If night is clear, and you are somewhere where you can observe the night sky, look up, and you just may see the Milky Way.
Cheers!
