I wrote this post last night, as I wanted to spend the time with my family. Time we spend together is so rare and far in between, social media will not be in the way.
This year many of you will have rather different Christmas, and even though events that caused that are far from pleasant or perfect, we should look at the other side of the coin. Maybe we needed this time to reconnect with those we love. Nothing makes you appreciate what you have like when you loose it. I hope you did not loose anyone you loved, and I hope that all of this will make you more aware of those that are still here, to appreciate all they represent to you, and maybe, just maybe to correct some behavior that makes you take those people and occasions for granted.
I am posting two gold looks back to back and that is just lack of planning on my side. I wore this manicure earlier this week, and I will show you my Christmas look some other time.
Everything is done and ready and this year I did not over worked myself into the frenzy preparing a tons of food we would not be able to eat in the week, never mind a day. I took slower pace which was so much better for me mentally, emotionally and physically.
As a base, I used Color Club Nail Lacquer - 24 below. I am not much for the gold, but I wanted something really festive, and gold was my choice.
On thumb, index and pinky I applied Bluebird Lacquer - Fir Sure. This was day 4 of 12 days of Christmas Advent Calendar I purchased. Calendar contained 6 full sized exclusive polishes, and 6 other items - all full sized - Shower Streamers, Cute cotton face mask, Body Butter, Soy Candle, Cuticle Balm and Sugar Scrub Cubes.
Love everything in that calendar, and planning to purchase one next year if offered.
Fir sure is more like a topper, and I am not really big on toppers, but gave this one a try.
Images I picked are on Dixie Plates - Christmas 2017.
All was finished with matte top coat from Lucky 13 Lacquer - We're All Matte Here.
I wore this on Monday to work, and liked the fact that it put me into Christmas mood.
I will now bid you a good day, and wish you all blessed, peaceful and joyful Christmas day.
Cheers!
