To apply the powder, I used the technique I seen on IG while I was lost in reels one day. Person shearing the tip was a nail tech, and she was using it on the gel. My use of the gel is pretty limited and very rare, so I wanted to try this on the regular nail polish, and I am pleased to report that this is easiest, least messy way to apply the powders. I mixed a small amount of powder with drop or two of alcohol. Then I simply brushed it over the nail. It takes minute or two for alcohol to evaporate, and using my finger I just smoothed the powder for more of the smooth, chrome look.
I sealed it with water based top coat, and when that dried, I stamped as usual.
Image for the scales is on MoYou London - Pro XL-02 stamping plate, and I stamped with What's Up Nails - Jay For A Day.
Have to tell you that photos do not give the justice to this manicure. Chrome color shifted from pink to green, and it was mesmerizing. I wore this to work for few days, and was sorry to see it off.
I was so happy with the results of this manicure that I ordered me more powders... I know, I am hopeless! Needless to say, expect more of this look as I am obsessed with powders at the moment.
It is back to work for most of you - I took day off to deal with doctor appointment...
Have a wonderful day and even better week.
Cheers!
