For the contest, I had to recreate one of IG@narmai awesome creations... If you have the chance to check it out, I would highly recommend. She is amazing artist and every creation is original, awesome and freehand painted. So much talent.
I decided on this particular design because I never done something like this before (and always wanted to do it), and because I like clean lines and simplicity of the design.
Of course, I had to add my own touch. Instead of plain white she used, I used China Glaze - Snow Way, because I thought contrasting shimmer would look neat mattified, and I was right - just see for yourself.
Everything else was done with acrylic paints. I started by painting the skyline with black acrylic, and fine brush. I actually used same brush for a whole thing...
I took one photo of skyline when I done it, so I could share it with you...
This is one of hers simplest designs - of course.
Next step was to water down acrylic paint for watercolor effect, and that was harder that you can imagine for me, as I like saturated rather than washed out color... mine is somewhat darker than hers.
I wanted to try watercolor technique, and this was fine excuse...
Wish me good luck.
Have a wonderful week.
Cheers.
