I picked four new shades, three of which are from the Strength + Color series. These polishes should be applied directly to the nail, and apparently should strengthen the nails.
I picked the darkest one I picked Essie - Berry Best.
Have a confession - I did not wear polish without the base coat in more than 20 years! Will not lie, I was having an anxiety attacks while wearing these, all three days this stayed on my nails. I was
really worried that this would stain my nails, but am happy to tell you that this was unnecessary fear. My nails did not get stained, and that made me really happy.
Berry Best is semi sheer, and I decided to use it to make the pond manicure, where I would create the marble look.
I used some white polish and gold leaf flakes... I actually have two layers of the flakes, as I wanted some of them to be little bit colored to show more depth.
I was really happy how they came out, even though I could do with less of the veining...
My luck is that there is no rules, and I do what I want...
This was only three coats of the Berry Best, and was fully opaque. It could be worn in one coat as a base for the French tips.
To summarize, I am really happy that I picked up this, and rest of the shades even though I am yet to try them all.
Majority of my polishes are packed up, as I need to empty my polish room for the upcoming renovations, and only what was on the top shelf is still out. I placed them all on the bottom shelf, and using those polishes at the moment, and I re-discovering the gems I totally forgot I have.
I guess something good will came out of all of this.
I am also trying to do some extra manicures for the posting at the times when taking the photos will be difficult.
All that is left to be said is that I am wishing you all an amazing upcoming weekend.
Cheers!
