Over the gel base coat, I applied marble of four colors I received: GA40 (pale pink), GA10 (red crème), GAR01 (red glitter) and GAR07 (neon pink glitter).
I marbled the colors on my mat, then using the flat brush, I applied the marble on my nails. This looked much easier in several tutorials I watched... but be kind, I gave my best here.
I will just say that I may not have a proper brush for this. Let's just blame it on the brush - LOL!
Even this is not the perfect marble I imagined in my head, I was not really disappointed with the results. I only wish you could see them under the lamp, that pink glitter just light up! I have really lame photo of that too... See them for yourself.
I also received two painting gels: RJP130 (gold) and JFP102 (black).
I never used painting gels before, and I was looking forward looking trying one of them.
I used fine brush for this, but just to say I had no idea what to do or where to start. Here is my lame attempt, and little bit of mix and match. Some floral, some color blocking, some fine lines...
Consistency of the painting gel is slightly different than a color gel - little bit thinner, so it would allow for easier painting. Even though I had no clue what I was doing, I did know that I had to flash cure the one color before I start with another.
I do need more practice with this, but for the first timer, I thought I did not fare that bad.
Now, I wanted to use this marbled nail art as a base, I sense that my base was bit over powering my freehand...
I did tons of photos, and glitter inside the marble made my camera all crazy and unsure where to focus, so I did another set of photos with the matte top coat. I love vibrancy of the glossy, but matte showed the details even on my marbled base.
If you scroll down, you will be able to see the both.
Happy Monday to you all.
Cheers!
