Today I have a freehand floral manicure, inspired by the friend's painting of the magnolia branch.
Majority of magnolias in my town are yet to bloom, thanks to the low temperatures. Honestly, it does not feel like we passed middle of April yet.
Yesterday rain started, and cooled it even more. On the other hand, rain is good for all that grows, so I am OK with rain. Soon enough and we will wish for the rain...
I started with sky blue polish on all nails, then on pinky and thumb I added a pink glitter topper, that made it look almost lilac.
All was painted with acrylic paints, and I was almost cross-eyed by the time I was done. As you can see, my nails are pretty small canvas, and my eyes are just not into it any more...
All in all, I was pretty happy with the results. I topped it with matte top coat, and was really disappointed when I seen the photos. My camera washed out the colors, even though in person there was more vibrancy, more contrast.
In any case, this Spring manicure made me smile, and that is all I wanted to achieve here. I hope it will make you remember why is the Spring the best season of them all, at least in my humble opinion.
To all of us returning to work today - Have a great day, and remember that this is a short week after all.
Cheers!
