I never done any magnolias, and I love to see their beautiful flowers. It always fascinated me that from afar, they look like they are made out of wax. Trees have such an magnificent display of blooms, and I know that winter is over for sure when I see them. I have seen them in different colors, but I love it in most usual combination of white and purple.
Of course, I decided to subject you to more of my freehand, just for one reason - I do not have any magnolia stamping image, at least not that I know. I figured, it can't be that hard to paint.
I started by painting fresh, spring green on my nails. This is Quo by Orly - Mojito, pretty crème green that went opaque in 2 easy coats. This was on my untried pile, but I am pretty sure I have something pretty similar... never mind that - I just needed some brightness today.
Rest was done freehand with acrylic paints.
I took couple of photos before I added top coat, and magnolias look more textured on those photos. After that, I added layer of Glisten & Glow HK-Girl Fast drying top coat, which made magnolias appear smooth, just like they supposed to be.
Magnolias in my street are not in a bloom as of yet, but I made sure that I include other Spring blooms from my garden to accompany my magnolia.
