My to do list is again mile long, and I also have to make some room for TLC - apparently self care is really important for your mental health. My first rose bud starting to open, and I can see the yellow petals, and that makes me extremely happy.
Last polish I received from sweet Victoria of NailStaff.ca is one from the Spring collection by Cadillacquer - Ivo.
The whole Spring collection has unusual names, so I googled this one too. Ivo is a boy name, and is actually quite common in Croatia. It has Germanic or Celtic origin and means Jew Tree (tree of life) and symbolize rebirth. I never new about this meaning, and it is actually quite pretty.
For the polish with the such a magical name, I had to came up with something magical too...
Not that magical manicures are my specialty, but I find nature absolutely magical. I tried to find the image that would actually look like a Yew tree, and this is as close as it gets. Image I used is on Nicole Diary-L10 stamping plate.
I stamped all with white first, then I added the metallic green to the trees as I did not want them to look like they are covered with snow. This is the part of the spring collection after all.
I did left my dear and buck a white. That is actually the magical part of the yew forest. It is believed that white stag is actually sign from the other world and this is consistent in many mythologies, Celtic one included. It also represent mankind's spiritual quest. It is rare and elusive, and that may be the reason for the all the legends that surrounds it. Who knew you can expand your knowledge just by painting your nails! LOL!
This is all I had prepared for today, so I will bid you all a wonderful weekend.
Cheers!
