One of those is surely skeleton key. In todays society when most of the keys are pretty much the same, I love the look of the skeleton keys. They had soul - there was some craftmanship involved in making them. Mind, once again, in todays society they would not give us much comfort or sense of security. When we purchased our house, our door, which I believe was original to the house that was built in 1929, there was a skeleton key hole. We never got the key, as one of the previous owners put a modern lock to it... Needles to say, even though I hated to see the old door gone, I did not want that hole there, as and entry point to all kind of bug life, and we know that I do not like the vermin...
That said, I love skeleton keys images, and I have not one, but two manicures including this common item, using the different stamping plates and color scheme.
Today, I am showing you first of those two manicures.
I started with one of my favourite nude polishes by Sally Hansen - Pink Pong.
It appears that I love purchasing powders, glitters and loose flakies, but then never use them. I wanted to break that cycle by using one of the flakies purchased months ago, not sure from where, as there was no marking on the packaging. Flakies are so pretty, and they looked like a mix of gold, red and fuchsia. such a beautiful combo.
I applied it on my index finger for a the full coverage, and on my middle finger I just sprinkled few, for a different look.
Images I used are on Uber Chic - 6-02 stamping plate.
I stamped first with Winstonia - Silver Bullet, then with M Polish - Iron. I was not going for the contrast here, but for the more dimensional look. This was more noticeable in the low light.
I even found a perfect prop for my key manicure. This is actually a bottle opener, but I purchased it for my photos. I truly have zero use for it otherwise.
Have a wonderful day.
Cheers!
