I actually love this late Summer, when nights and mornings are little bit fresher, but days still have lots of warmth to offer...
My street is still pretty green, and that can change overnight... it seems like as soon as the leaves change the color, they hurl down, and before you know it, all you can see are bare trees... and then the long and dreaded Winter.
I love seasons, I love to see how nature changes from season to season and re-invent itself each new cycle, year after year. My favourite seasons are transitional ones - Spring and Autumn, each one for the different reason, but what is common for both of them is the dramatic change in a color scheme.
I am fortunate that I had a pleasure to live all of my life surrounded by seasonal changes. For today, I decided to show you some maple leaves, symbol of my adopted country, and because they can provide for a truly magnificent color display every Autumn.
I started this with LCN - Vintage rose.
I proceeded by doing a few dry brush strokes over this base using La Femme - Rosa. Rosa is neon pink stamping polish, that I like to use as a regular polish.
Image I used is on Beauty Big Bang - BBBXL-021 stamping plate I had a pleasure reviewing recently. You are more than welcome to use my discount code HEFER for 10% savings.
Stamping polishes I used were: Moyra - SP.02 (red), Hit the Bottle - Hello Buttercup (yellow), and High Voltage Violet (purple). I added random dots of color over the image, and when swiped, I got this gradient that in combination with the drybrush made those leaves dimensional.
All was topped with Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward quick dry top coat.
We had a wind storm few days ago, and some small branches were blown off of the neighbour maple tree, and I had to use it as a prop. Even though leaves were dried out, you can clearly see that they are far from being any other color but green.
Have a wonderful day.
Cheers!
