Usually, I find the short weeks really hard, but this one went really well, and that is a good thing.
Did you seen the super moon the other day? I went with my little sidekick Princes the dog out, and it was so big and so bright! I just remembered it, and in the randomness of my thought process, I actually mentioned it here...
I seen lots of bees and bumble bees around my yard, but have to admit, I am yet to see some Ladybugs. If I did not see them in my garden, it just means that I can wear them on my nails.
This is the manicure I actually wore on my birthday last week.
My pretty purple base is Dimension Nails - Lilac Banded Butterfly.
Lilac Banded Butterfly has nice and creamy formula, and is super opaque - it was fully opaque in one smooth coat. I am wearing 2 coats and no top coat.
I love the ladybugs, especially around my roses. My yard seem to be one giant ant hill, and ants love aphids. Aphids feed on soft leaves and buds and then secrete the sticky substance that attract the ants. Ants love that sweet, sticky byproduct enough that they would protect the aphids from the natural predators, even heard them so they can collect more of that substance. Where the ladybugs fit in that picture? Well, ladybug larvae feeds on aphids, and that is a good thing if you want to have nice roses.
Here I go again with the biology lesson, but some days I just can't help myself.
Images used are on Dixie Plates - Spring 01, except for the clouds - those are hand painted by yours truly. LOL!
On my middle finger, I made the body of the ladybug black, but on the thumb I changed the color for the brown. Honestly, I could not decide which one I liked better. You can see the thumb on the last photo the best.
Now we are supposed to have a wonderful weekend with ever increasing temperatures, so have an amazing day.
Cheers!
