First, I painted two nails in this pretty purplish pink crème, and I purchased it just because it was at a steep discount at local drugstore, and came with white polish also, and some googly eyes that I just may need for October manicures... yeah... I didn't even recognize manufacturer - Girls Life - I never heard of them... I think I need to go out some more (and possibly shop for polish, hehehe).
There was also a great sale at DRK Nails I mentioned few times already, and there I purchased this super cute superhero collection polish from Esmaltes da Kelly - Cat Woman. With the name like that, you would expect something shiny and black, but this is so different. What we have here is a crelly/ textured polish. Holographic micro glitter (Deep purple/pink) and some irregular flakes in a lightest pink base... It dries to a shiny finish, and if you do not like slight texture, you can apply some top coat for a smooth finish. I just love texture, and I admit it is acquired taste. Took me a little while to get used to it, and now I can't have enough of it. I may or may not have more arriving soon. ^_^
Here is little swatch of both of them just before I stamped...
This swatch looked pretty as is, or it would be for a gals that are bit shy... that would not be me. I am all peacock when it comes to nails. No restrains either.
My son and I was chatting the other day - I am such a low maintenance when it comes to my hair - wash and go, with occasional color (DIY kind).
All makeup I own would fit in a smallest of the cosmetics bags...
But nail polish.... nail polish for days!!! I get high just by polish purchases, without inhaling any fumes. All I want to do is play with my shiny new friends... I am also partial to a stamping plates... There is nothing like removing that blue protective film off of the new plate, and revealing spotless sheet of steel.
Back to my nails. I decided to stamp in opposite colors, and can you imagine this- I just had a perfect match (or so) for the colors used as a base.
Image I used is from Born Pretty Store BP-L003, and I think this was one of the first rectangular stamping plates I purchased from them. When I started to stamp this image, it looked like simplified lace, but more I am looking at it, the more it looks like whole bunch of pink tiaras Barby princess...
For stamping, I used Mundo de Unas polishes - Pink (light pink) and Tutti (purple).
Because I like texture (I had to repeat this just in case you missed it), I did not apply any top coat.
