I used to be an avid knitter, but my joints + carpal tunnel made this useful hobby - a painful one, so I just manage to do a little bit every year. I learned to knit when I was four years old, and first few years there was plenty knitted scarfs for my dolls, I did not have patience for anything else...
then I knitted a first sweater (with 4 color, and my own design to the boot), and I was hooked.
That lead to many unique creations that I loved wearing, and my sister loved stealing...
At one point I was doing a samples for the one designer that was doing knitted wear only!
Now, let me reel you back into this century, and me loving to wear knitted sweaters, scarfs, and nails... well, at least the designs that look like they are knitted on my nails.
My base is Ciate London - Pepperminty. Honestly, I can't remember when was the last time I wore this muted mint polish.
Over that I added Sally Hansen - Ruffle, black multi sized glitter toper, to make my base more "interesting". Needless to say, after I started with stamping, I regretted applying the glitter. They made whatever I was stamping to disappear.
Images used for this are on Hit the Bottle - Stitchcraft stamping plate I picked up as one of the Polish Pickup exclusive stamping plates.
I finished with the matte top coat, even though everything was better visible in glossy version.
As a prop, I used hand knitted prayer scarf, gifted to me when my husband passed away...
Have yourself a great day, and happy birthday Debbie.
Cheers!
