I had this brilliant idea to use that stripy, colorful base for kaleidoscope design...
This actually looked really good, and I feel really bad for not taking the photo of it.
I made a decals for my middle and ring finger, while I kept rest of them fairly simple. Simplicity was painting them in beautiful Glisten & Glow - Clutch and go, done as a collab with Color Clutch. Love this gorgeous teal holographic polish.
For lines of the decals, I mostly used Essie polishes: Mojito Madness (green), Strut your stuff (blue), Roarrrrrange (orange), A List (red), Play Date (purple) and Winstonia - Lemon Lime Yellow. This started really good, and I could just leave it as is. Decals applied beautifully, and looked really sharp next to the solid color.
I picked a design from UR Beautiful 05 stamping plate, and for the first layer of stamping, I used DRK Nails - Extra Black. Design I picked was too fine, and colored stripes got lost...
Needles to say, I hated it with passion.
I decided to try to save it by adding another layer of stamping. I picked two completely different images, and stamped them with Esmaltes da Kelly - Dolly, then double stamped it with Born Pretty - Gold.
Even though this ended looking totally different than what I had originally in mind, I love the final result.
I will spend some time this weekend taming my yard. What are your plans?
Wishing you a great weekend.
Cheers!
