Yesterday was not a good day for me. Had a killer migraine that did not ease most of the day, so I felt pretty drained by the time the evening approached.
After another hot day in my pretty little town, and fires that are frighteningly close to the town, I actually started gathering the items just in case of evacuation... I hate to be downer, but I strongly believe in being prepared, rather than not.
Even while I was preparing this post last night, I was still thinking what else should I bring along if we get to that. I hope we will not, and I can see being really busy putting it all back, but I would rather be laughing at my paranoia, than live with regrets.
Not to the brighter themes...
Today I have the look I prepared few weeks ago, before the big heat and mess we are all in...
I was wearing summer dress with a tiny sweater, and I wanted my nails to match. Have to admit, this dress fitted much better in pre COVID days and weight gain that happened to so many of us.
I found the perfect polishes, and I thought that I matched them so well, as I did wear them together. Last photo is yours truly wearing the inspiration outfit, and I did have the matching nails.
There is not many photos of me, so to all of you that wanted to see the face behind the nails, here I am. Embracing my gray hair, and channeling my inner Jamie Lee Curtis. Few months ago I decided that I am done with coloring my hair every couple of weeks, and that I wanted to age gracefully. Let's see where will this land me...
As a base for the manicure I used Essie - Strut your stuff. I can't remember when was the last time I wore this brilliant blue shade. Easy 2 coats for the full opacity, even though it was almost fully opaque in one coat.
I could do this freehand, but I did not have the patience, so I picked a stamping plate I purchased forever ago Born Pretty - Texture - L006. I am pretty sure this plate is not available any more.
I achieved the textured effect by stamping over and over again using different stamping polishes, most of which are by B. Loves Plates and Hit the Bottle.
I was totally in love with the achieved results, and was wearing this for few days, regardless of the fact that I did not wear it with my dress all the time.
I found that some of the patterns on my outfits make really great inspiration for the nail art, even though I do not consider myself a fashion maven. I am not sure if my subconsciousness is picking those for me...
Be safe and stay safe.
Cheers!
