I spend most of the day in the yard, trying to get ahead of two years of neglect. I am up for a challenge, and as with everything else in life, to succeed, you need to start somewhere. Small steps, that is all that takes. Big tasks can be overwhelming and sometimes can be hard to decide where to start. My theory is, start where ever you want, or can. Chances are it will get worse before it gets better, and eventually, everything will get in place, as long as you make that first step.
I hope that you made some head start in some of the projects you decided to tackle this year, and doesn't matter if that is change of job, new home, or just plain clean up like myself. Closets are next... dreading that one too...
My boring life aside, I have a manicure that I considered a fail, but in the same time, I was so in love with color, I wanted to share it.
As a base, I used Heroine NYC - Royal blood, amazing royal blue crème.
I wanted to try a technique I seen on some tutorials from the accounts I follow, and they made it so easy... it was not.
I wanted to combine matte crème with a holo stamping...
I used holographic powder from Beauty Big Bang, SKU: J2427, and I also applied the same powder to my pinky. You know that you can use my discount code HEFER for 10% savings at BeautyBigBang.com.
I used Moyra - FP.01 Foil polish for stamping, to pick up the image, that was also on a Moyra stamping plate No. 118 Dream On.
I stamped on my nail, then I dabbed the holographic powder over the stamping. As you can see from the photos, it worked to some degree. I expected it to be more focused on the stamping polish, but it seems that I got that powder sticking to everything... Because I wanted crisp result, and got somewhat blurred, I considered this a fail...
I guess, it is not too bad for the first (and only) try.
Over the middle finger I applied some matte top coat, as I wanted to see how would this color looked mattified... I loved it, and it seem that lately I am on matte all the things kick.
I do have some unposted recent manicures using the matte top coat, and I bet you will see those pretty soon.
I hope that this beautiful, bright blue brighten your day. Until tomorrow...
Cheers!
