Hope you are all doing great, and I am sailing into the long weekend. Love the long weekends, as they give me more time not just for the household chores, but for the rest, fun, and some catching up with my posts.
Few months ago, I participated in "name this polish" game by Heroine NYC - she had a new collection coming, and wanted her followers to pick the name.
As you can imagine, there was a ton of suggestions, including mine, and one of my suggestion was afterwards picked as crowd favorite of three picked by Shawna. As the prize, my name (and five others) were printed on the labels of the polish, and she also sent the whole set of polishes to each one of us! How incredibly generous was that, considering the cost of shipping alone, never mind the cost of the polish.
There was another game - "name this collection", and winner got the same collection. Collection was named Northern Lights.
It took a while before I received my parcel, which was couple of weeks ago. I initially did a swatches for the whole collection, and except for the first one, other were just a swatches.
As a afterthought, I decided to add a little bit of the nail art in my usual fashion.
Collection consist of 6 beautiful shades, 5 of which are crème polishes, and one is topper, which got swatched on its own, and over every color. I decided to do this over three posts, not to overwhelm anyone here.
Let me start with the topper, as you will see it over colors, and it is only fair to show it off by itself.

You can see that even after so many coats it is still pretty sheer. I can wear sheer, as long as it is glitter... this girl like her sparkle way too much. LOL!
I decided to go with super simple stamping design from SG-09 stamping plate purchased years ago at AliExpress.
I stamped with B. Loves Plates - B. a Black Hole, black stamping polish, then I added another layer of the glossy top coat.
This was such a simple yet satisfying look I could never get enough of. I love swirly images, and this particular one (it is really one image, whose parts I stamped on each nail) is especially pretty.
I also love the simplicity of the black stamping. Here is bigger photo so you can see the pretty sparkle.

I totally love this kind of saturated colors, and this looks so good. Whole collection is gorgeous, and as I would put the next polish on my nails, I would say - ooohhh, this one is my favorite. That would be true until I would try other color... Yeah, this collection is totally my cup of tea.
On the swatches above, I am wearing 2 coats of polish.
Little piece of the trivia, this is exact color of my new sofa purchased last weekend...
I wanted to wear this one glossy, so here it is. Usually I like to match the swatch with the name, but this will not be the case here.
I will go with the images and color combos that speak to me at the time of the re-swatch of the polishes, as I wanted to add the nail art.
I love contrasts of every kind, and here are some: crème/metallic, cold tone/warm tone.
I love blues and browns together, so here I picked three metallic polishes that I placed in gradient style.
Colors used are by Essie - Penny Talk (top color, the lightest of them all), and two shades by B. Loves Plates - B. a Cinnamon (in the middle) and B. a Gingerbread Man (on the bottom, darkest one.). For some reason this made me think about the coffee...
Image picked is on Uber Chic - UC 2-02 stamping plate. This was single image that I picked up with each of the colors then stamped in to look like a one image.
All was topped with the glossy top coat.
I actually loved this color combo, and I hope you do to.
Have an amazing day, and I hope I will see you tomorrow for the second part.
Cheers!
