Because nail is such a small canvas, to give a fluid art little bit more room, I used my Miracle Mat by My Bliss Kiss. You can do this on any silicone mat - for a longest time I used silicone cookie sheet, or you can use parchment paper. Either of those surfaces will make taking the decals off of the surface fairly easy.
For a start, I made a fairly big play area by dripping some white nail polish and making fairly thick layer of it, and onto it, I added other colors by making a random drops all over the white. Colors I picked were: China Glaze - Rose Among Thorns (hot pink); La Femme - Amarelo (yellow); Glisten & Glow - Pumpkin Carving & Pale Ale (orange). Over those I randomly dropped little bit of Sinful Colors Hypnotic Transforming Top Coat in Rebel Rebel (indigo). I folded mat to mix the colors, and WOW! It is really mesmerizing to watch those cells appear!
This time, I got all sorts of cells and rivers or lightening bolts. After decal dried, I just cut it into the pieces little bit bigger than the nail, and placed it over the sticky base coat.
This time I really could not decide which nail I like more!
I was really happy with the color scheme, and this was the first time that my colors do not scream radioactive waste! LOL!
I had to try something else over this delicious base, and stamping was my solution... like 98% of the time anyhow...
I couldn't really decide what exactly I wanted stamped over my fluid art, until I came across my untried Lina - 4 Seasons - Summer 03 stamping plate.
Each image I used is triple stamped using: Essie - Penny Talk; Mini Mani Moo - Black and Esmaltes da Kelly - Dolly.
Loved this topped with matte top coat.
What is better on a fine Friday than a Hawaiian shirt and dreams of vacation somewhere tropical.
Kudos to all of you that made my dream possible and living it for me.
Cheers!
