I have no idea how it would feel to have a hot Christmas, barbeque and beach, air-condition instead of furnace...
Because I don't have idea, please mind my ignorance... with this tropical, or even better Hawaiian Christmas manicure.
This ended up looking like a cross between Hawaiian shirt and classic Christmas design.
To be honest, I have this super cute Special Edition stamping plate from Maniology (then Bundle Monster) BM-SE1.
On middle and ring finger I applied dry marble decals done on my My Bliss Kiss Miracle Mat. For marbling I used Ruby Wing - Clean Linen ( shimmery white), La Femme - Preciosa (holographic grey) and Bourjois - Adora-Bleu (light blue). I was going for creating water like waves... not really successfully.
Rest of the nails got two coats of Kleancolor - Chunky Holo Candy over Clean Linen. Loving neon pink glitters.
I stamped Santa image with Hit the Bottle - Snowed in, then I painstakingly colored in all the details. It was all fun and games until I was done, and was placing the silly ring on my finger before my top coat dried off... which caused my Santa to loose his face, which I then had to include some pretty sketchy freehand over. What a mess! You will notice that I abandoned the ring idea after another almost decapitation - what to tell you, that was my really graceful day. LOL!
Now it looks like he is wearing sun glasses, which would be really appropriate if he is surfing. I just hope that red suit he is wearing is actually wet suit, or he could get in some serious trouble if he gets waterlogged! LOL!
I painted some palm fronds, and stamped some hibiscus flowers using the image on BM-313 stamping plate, again first with Snowed in, then with different colors.
I was not entirely happy with the results, but I hope I put some Hawaiian spin to classic Christmas design.
Have yourself a wonderful day.
Cheers!
