Planning to spend the day with my boys, and do some BBQ, and if I feel especially domestic, I may even bake a cake. LOL!
Weather permitted, we might go to the park for the celebratory program and concert. We are having some stormy weather lately, and I really do not want to be surrounded by trees in the middle of the wind/thunder storm...
All that aside, I wanted to show my appreciation of my adopted homeland, and I have a tribute manicure here.
I used for that a stamping plate from my fellow Canadian, neighbour if I may say Debbie, inventor of Clear Jelly Stamper, so you can see where you stamp. I used CjS LC-09, done as the plate states in collaboration with many Canadians.
There are many images I used from this plate in mix and match kind of the manicure. Aside from your usual Canadian symbols such as Canadian flag and maple leaf, I also added some city names, and only when I stamped I noticed that Ottawa is misspelled. It seems that I twisted slightly stamper when I stamped, so image is bit wonky... I also added my province - British Columbia, and province capital Victoria.
Only two colors were enough, but some days I love to go overboard ( who am I kidding - I go overboard every day) and I added touch of gold and black to white and red combo.
White I used is Sensationail - White now, which is one of the peel off polish line I picked up at the local drugstore for the song.
I stamped with Moyra - SP. 02 - red stamping polish. I also used Hit the Bottle - As Black As Night and Born Pretty - Gold.
Not much to say, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA!
Cheers!
