I am wearing purple - did you expected anything less from me? OK, I admit, for whole second I was considering a emerald green... but that thought was gone as quick as it appeared.
I wanted to try something new, and my new thing is - foil. Please be kind, as I had no idea what I was doing, and this is my second attempt at it. I still debating if I should even post first one...
I actually purchased this foil yesterday - in local store that carries everything, I came across a box with 10 different foils, base and top coat for whooping $1.29! I could not pass this deal, even though I did started with hoarding the foil and had plenty at home. My excuse was that I did not have ones with 'hollow' design, as I thought this may be more forgiving... it was not if you were wondering.
Under the foil, I applied L'Oréal - Café de Nuit. I wanted neutral background, for foil to take a stage.
I thought this looked pretty good. I need lots of practice with foil, and I already want to do some stamping with foil, even though I am still to master application on the nail... talking about grand plans! :)
Foil was applied with use of the foil glue, which I purchased at Born Pretty Store. This was straight forward process, even though I still need to master it. You apply the glue over the polished nail. You can apply foils over the gel as well as regular polish. I used regular polishes, just because they are so much easier than gels. Glue is white in the bottle, but when dry- or ready for you to apply a foil, it turns clear. You place piece of foil on your nail, and gently press... lift the film, and design stays on your nail- in a nutshell...
Foil was applied only on my thumb and index finger. Rest of the nails are polished with Enchanted Polish - Hella Good. Well, it is not just good, it is amazing! First of all - application is flawless. Opaque in one coat, and color - color is so me! Love gorgeous purple holographic polish. This is my one and only Enchanted Polish, and unless something drastically changes, it will stay the only child - those polishes have steep price point for me, and I purchased this one on the sale at Live, Love, Polish.
I had to try this brand.
This is enough talk from the birthday girl... I do not want to push my luck.
Beautiful rose is from my Mother's Day bouquet - gift from my son. I had to use them as a prop for at least one manicure!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Cheers!
