There is a thing about challenges. They make you try new things, to go outside of your comfort zone. Some days, results are so silly, you want to shout from the top of your lungs "what was I thinking"! Other times are so much more rewarding - when things just fall into right place and make you think Why I did not try this before? Well, today is one of those days.
One of the challenges called for grunge... had to Google it to get idea... and this is my idea of it. Whole thing supposed to be mismatched, distressed and preferably in a dark, murky colors. In fashion it also means style of mismatched items, and fabrics and patterns that most of us would never wore at the same time.
I started with this gorgeous eggplant purple - Sexy divide by Essie. I sponged some Sally Hansen - Posh plum. Even though those two purples are so different in a bottle, on the nail, they kind of blended together so well, it was almost invisible (I seem to be expert in invisibility). Using fan brush and small amount of Butter London - Dodgy Barnett, I did pattern that reminds me of weaving. This looked pretty, but I got those Mundo de unas stamping polishes that I was itching to use - Pink number 10 in this case- and new and untried plate QA 51 with lace design that I just had to use. Finished with some rhinestones and top coat.
I have to admit that I really like results. What are your thoughts on it?
Thank you for stopping by.
