Every postcard needs a postage stamp, and that is what I did. Considering that this year Canada celebrated big 150th Birthday, I came up with this commemorative stamp - holographic version. Nothing strange there - after all, we do have holographic money! Yes, every paper bill contains 1 cm wide holographic strip or see through holographic strip- on the new, plastic bills.
I started with a clean white slate, Orly Gel FX - White tips.
Let me continue with my pretend commemorative stamp.
I taped off the area I did not want to use, and I did gradient using following Hit the Bottle polishes: Amethyst Sizzle, Musk Have the Holo and Under the Strobe-berry Lights. I have seen those stamping polishes water marble like a dream, but they also make a flawless gradient. I will have to use them again for one really soon.
As a matter of fact, only other brand of stamping polish used in this manicure was Mundo de Unas - White - for clouds. All the other polishes used here were Hit the Bottle. I used As Black as Night for picking up the image, and I used Poison Apple, Let's go to the Peach, Smurf Blood, I Lilac it Like That, Hello Buttercup and Cactus Juice for a filling in the decal. Last one was unfortunately bit higher in the balloon, and I am afraid, that most of it was cut off after I applied it on the nails. Image used is on Messy Mansion MM35 stamping plate.
I also used Clear Jelly Stamper - stamper and CjS LC-08 stamping plate for a word Canada and maple leaf on my stamp.
I freehand the border around the stamp using fine brush and dotting tool.
For the postal mark image I used image from Nicole Diary ND008 plate and again Hit the Bottle - Purple Reign.
I hope you will like this one as much as I did.
Whishing you all a wonderful week.
Cheers!
