Before I even share the swatch of the Ziggy, I have a little story (true story) for you that has all to do with Ziggy, but nothing to do with Picture Polish or Claire Estelle.
Long time ago, when my late husband immigrated to Canada, many people had a really hard time pronouncing his first name... So more than 40 years ago, he got a nickname - Ziggy. Most of his bowling buddies know him as Ziggy.
Years later new job earned him a brand new nickname that stuck with him till the end - Zorro!
Yup, I was married to Zorro for 23 years!
Now, if he was still alive when this polish came out, he would purchased it for me, regardless if that would be the polish I would pick. He would totally want the polish named after him! LOL!
It just happens that I adore this color, and I had no problem purchasing it, name was not important to me.
Now, when you know that this polish was meant to be in my collection, I can show you the swatch.
Polish was almost fully opaque in one coat, and on the swatch above, I am wearing 2 coats and top coat, as it dries to a satin finish.
Claire Estelle disappeared from the world of Instagram about 6 months ago, and I surely hope she is well.
What I done over this gorgeous polish I nod to Claire Estelle...
Every time I see this image on Uber Chic -17-01 stamping plate I think of her. She even did a tutorial using this image, and for whichever reason, I always connect it with her.
I actually did a two versions. In first one, I used copper polish for stamping, and it was so pretty, but did not 'pop' enough for me.
I decided to stamp over, and that version was totally me!
Over copper leaves, I stamped with bright Hit the Bottle - To Thine Own Elf Be True, and over that metallic green, I stamped with Konad - Black.
I was not really worried if you can see the previous layer, I thought it gave it more dimension...
This was bright and happy, with contrast and pop of color, and I was totally happy.
I hope your weekend will be bright and happy.
Cheers!
