It also happened that I did this manicure months ago, and never got around to share it, even though I wore it for week before I took it off with heavy heart. I loved it so much. It also happened that I did not have a time for something new to do for another birthday collage, so this came in handy.
This gorgeousness is China Glaze - Seas and Greetings.
To think that I almost pass on this beauty is even more crazy. I did not even know what kind of jewel this is until I finally painted my nails with it.
I triple stamped the same image from Fab Ur Nails - Fun 17 stamping plate. I just posted another manicure using the images from this same plate couple of days ago. Plate is full of super pretty images that can be used any time of the year.
For stamping, I first used Beauty Big Bang - Purple, then Born Pretty - Holographic blue, then finished with DRK Nails - Extra Black.
Why triple stamping? When I started, I did not planned it this way. Purple was all but invisible, and that holographic blue did not stand out enough... when I added the black, all came together, and you can actually distinguish three colors, like they needed a black to define them. Thing is, that I did not really paid any attention to layering. I just stamped, and images are not really perfectly lined up, which actually worked here amazingly well. Strange, but some days things just happen certain way. Some days, you just don't give up until you achieve what was in your mind until you are happy. That was case in point here.
I did leave some negative space at the bottom of the index and middle finger, and I freehand the line on the bottom of the design to define it better.
All in all, what started as disaster, turned out to be one of my favourite looks. Go figure!
I hope your Sunday is peaceful, and make sure that you get some rest, as Monday is closer than we want it to be...
Cheers!
