While looking for something else in my Helmer drawer, I came across this pretty pale lilac polish full of iridescent flakies by Born Pretty - A Step Far.
It was so long since I wore it last time, I forgot I have it at all!
Instead going through my stamping plates, once again I reached for my brushes.
Truth is that I never know what I will came up with. I just let my creative side to take off, and some days, results surprise me. Surprise was very pleasant this time around. Even though I was not sure what I wanted, one thing I knew for sure, I wanted it to be calm, if that makes any sense.
I decided to go with black and white color scheme, and I used black and white acrylic paints.
When I started, I wanted something simple, maybe little bit abstract. Finished, this reminded me of geodes, and I decided to leave it at that.
Any regrets? Absolutely! I wish I left it glossy (first photo) instead of adding matte top coat (photo 2 and 3).
I also wished that I had presence of mind to add some glitters in the center of every geode painted, for added sparkle... You know that I can not do without sparkle...
Other than that, I was pretty happy with this.
I even remembered to use the quartz geode my son brought me from one of his trips as a prop. I have the best kids! Even though I may be partial to that opinion, I am also entitled to it.
Days are getting warmer, and I hope that trend will continue in weeks ahead. I don't mind some rain, as water is needed for my garden to become my solace of color, scent and sound again...
Have an amazing day everyone.
Cheers!
