This manicure did not really go the way I imagined, but I did not hate the results...
I started with super moody Now You Sea Me by L'Oreal. It is reminding me of the stormy sky.
On the swatch above, I am wearing two coats and no top coat. This polish dries to a high gloss, and if you want to prolong the life of any manicure, top coat is the must. I rarely use the top coat on my swatches for the simple reason - I will stamp in a minutes after taking the swatch photos, and waiting for top coat to dry is just one extra step I like to skip whenever I can.
I used images from UberChic UC 22-01.
I planned one stone on each nail, but first gem I stamped I actually did not place to my liking, so to cover up, I added more, so they look like they were spilled from the little pouch all over my nail. First, I stamped the contour of the gemstone with dark grey, and I filled the image with the small brush using Ever After - Playing with fire.
Playing with fire was part of Polish Pick Up July - rewind, when each maker could bring back one polish from previous year. I was super lucky to snag this polish this time, as I missed it first time around. This polish was inspired by the Australian black fire opal, and it was no brainer what kind of gemstones I wanted on my nails.
After this dried, I stamped facets of the gem using the Winstonia - Silver Bullet.
Ring I am wearing is from Indigo Lune, web based jewellery store from England. I won that ring (and two others) on their giveaway last summer on Instagram.
With my black and white opals, I am wishing you and awesome weekend.
Cheers!
