Once again I decided to join sweet Gen IG@vernimage in her freehand collab, and last month theme was seashells.
You know that ocean theme is my favorite, and I am so glad I did those well ahead of due date, as there was no way I would do them now... It is just too hot for the nail art, and my nails are wearing the same polish for the last 5 days or so. It does not look like I will change it any time soon. I walked into my polish room yesterday, and temperature on my lamp read 38*C! Yeah! As I said, there will be no nail art any time soon, and once again I am glad that I have all of those unposted designs that will take me through this heat.
On my thumb, index and pinky I am wearing super pretty sapphire blue glitter polish by Bluebird Lacquer - Make it Rain. I just wanted to have some nice contrast here.
I painted the 'sand' using Color Club - Three Wishes, then using few different blues I did a ocean and sky with the clouds.
Seashells were painted with acrylic paints, and I have to admit I really love the way shell on my ring finger turned out. This truly reminded me of summer, and I wish I could just walk in that ocean behind, and have a nice, cold dip...
Today is Canada Day, and I did prepare the manicure, but I decided not to post it in the light of the discoveries of so many mass graves in the Residential Schools throughout the Canada. Those were Indiginous boarding schools founded by Catholic Church. Families and communities are mourning all off those lives snuffed too soon... because every child counts, I decided to skip the festivities this year.
Have a wonderful day, and keep safe and cool.
Cheers!
