I pulled few polishes out of their hiding places in the drawers, making sure that I did not wear any of them recently (which was actually easiest part of the task ahead).
I used following polishes: Cover Girl - Leading Lady (berry pink); Model's Own - Sun Hat (neon pink); and off brand without name (brown with red shimmers). To create the cells, I used MDJ Creations - White Fluid Art. This specialty effect polish was sent to me long ago by the Melissa of MDJ Creations for review almost two years ago, and as you can clearly see, I am still using it for my fluid art. I just need to shake the bottle really hard, and apply little bit more than usual, but this baby is still working, and that makes me so happy.
As usual, I dripped polish randomly, then I folded my mat for polishes to "mix", then I just sat back and watched the magic happening. And it was happening for me - Just check out the all the cells I got there. It was the hardest thing to decide which parts of the decals to use. I had so much of unused, which is rarity for me.
I actually waited long enough for the decals to perfectly dry - when they are dry enough to peel off of the mat without stretching and ripping, and not too dry so they are brittle and hard to apply. Waiting is not my strong suit, and I usually try to pry the decals too soon, so they stretch, rip, and I usually ruin the best parts. This also cost me loads of ruined decals, and more often than not, I am scrambling to stretch what I have for all the nails. Not this time - thankfully.
This was such a success for me, that I hope rest of the year will flow this easy.
I know that is a high expectation based on one fluid art success, but if you wish it, you can make it happen.
Even with the extra rest last couple of day, I managed to finish all that I needed, and happy to report that my shoulder/back is feeling much better. Biggest test will be today at work. Sitting for any period of time was really hard last few months, so I truly hope this will make a difference. Maybe then I can go back to doing all the other things I love.
I am wishing all of you a great start of the week.
Cheers!
