Even the way how we are think about things that even few decades ago were as normal as good morning...
I was thinking about the loss of the farm land in the name of the 'progress'.
It appears that we humans are quite invasive species. We take whatever we want without a long thought about consequence. This is leasing us to complete annihilation of many species of flora and fauna, not to mention that our meddling caused the global warming whose unpredictable patterns we are witnessing all around the world.
Being a farmer is not really popular option, less and less young people are deciding to stay on the farm. City lights are just too alluring, promise of 'easier' life is just too good to pass on. Not that I could blame them. Farm life is not the easiest one. Long, hours of backbreaking labor in any weather, and all can be lost in the blink of the eye in a hail storm! Thankless sacrifices for betterment of everyone, and yet, we will still import the products with questionable contents and/or quality.
Despite all of this, we do need farms and farmers, because one thing is for sure - I do not plan to quit the food any time soon.
All images are on Creative Shop 90 stamping plate. Honestly, I never thought I would wear pig on my nails, but this image was just too cute to pass.
for stamping, I used following polishes: Hit the Bottle - As Black As Night (black), Messy Mansion - Forest (dark green) and Moyra - SP-15 (light green).
For background I did a smoosh using a Cover Girl - Buxom Blue (medium blue), Pretty Serious - Doodle Bug (lighter blue) and Jessica - Sharktooth (white) which I managed to drop on the flor and break... Imagine white nail polish all over my hardwood floor...
I can share a good tip though - if you pour crystal sugar right away over the spilled polish, and leave for half a minute, you can sweep most of the polish. there was just couple of streaks where polish was just too thin and dried out immediately that I had to carefully remove using the nail polish remover. Good to know that something I seen on internet actually works.
Mommy pig and the piglet are made into a decal on my stamper, which I just applied directly onto my nail after it was dry.
All in all, I was super happy with this fun prompt.
Wishing you all a wonderful day.
Cheers!
