Before my life was tossed upside down, I signed up for a Beautometry's Next Top Swatcher 2017 competition. Last year was fun, and I made it to semi-finals, and I had to try out again this year.
Even though my heart is not on the right place, I know that my husband would loved if try for it. He was always so proud of me and all that I accomplished. He had so much fate in me and my abilities, that I am entering this competition as a tribute for him.
First week of competition has a famous paintings as a prompt, and Picasso's - Girl Before Mirror is given topic.
I am no Picasso, and I apologize for butchering a masterpiece. Give me food to paint, and I can make it pretty realistic... abstract on the other hand is totally out of my depth. Cubism in particular.
This competition is done on elimination basis, and it is counting votes on Beautometry Instagram and Facebook pages. Usually they would repost entering photos, and you can vote for your favourites. Least number of votes will be eliminated and will not progress to the next level.
I would appreciate every vote I could get.
All here is done freehand, using mostly China Glaze polishes: That'll Peach You, Daisy Know My Name?, In A Lily Bit, Frostbite, Black Diamond, Plur-Ple and Red Satin. I also used Sinful Colors - Mint Apple, and black acrylic paint.
Finished with coat of Sally Hansen - Big Matte Top Coat.
Thank you for your votes.
Cheers!
