Today is one of those days when I reached in my unposted folder to pick the manicure that is not blue... It appears that I am perpetually stuck in the blue/grey winter color scheme... Totally unintentionally, but I needed something little bit brighter.
More often than not, I am enjoying the simple look. Tone on tone is one of those - when I gave in to the nail art, those were the looks I would go for, as they are somewhat discrete and I would enjoy them without drawing much attention to my hands.
In this manicure, I used pretty L'Oréal - Crazy for Chic. This is such a pretty coral pink with nice formula and application. It was pretty much opaque in one coat, but I always apply the second coat just in case. Such a nice grown-up pink, but in the same time so vibrant and feminine. I am so glad that I reached for this shade in particular, as it is so flattering to my skin tone. It is also one of the polishes I did not wear in ages. In a way, I am so glad I am on the self imposed no buy. For the longest time, I would buy everything that would caught my eye, and even though I did not regret any of the purchases, volume I do already own does not allow me to actually try/wear majority of the polishes I already own. It seems like I am in constant race to try out the new stuff, that other beauties on my shelf go on unnoticed... Slowing down with purchases actually allows me to enjoy and appreciate what I already have. January was hard month, and I have to admit I only purchased one bottle of the nail polish - it was a back up for the polish that I re-discovered, and was running low on, so I got it before is discontinued.
Image I decided to apply over this beautiful polish is on Uber Chic - 23-03 stamping plate. I paired it with Hit the Bottle - Under Strobe-berry Lights holographic stamping polish. I got the best of both worlds here. Little bit of holographic sparkle, and uniform, almost geometric image. Loved the simplicity of the look, and it was easy wear for several days.
Wishing you a wonderful day.
Cheers!
