I wanted to make a geode type of the look, but unfortunately, I missed the mark and never posted this. Then this kind of grew on me, and here it is, good, bad and ugly.
I used dry marble technique here, and this should be much easier with the gel polish, than it is with the regular polish, if for nothing else, it gives you more time to work.
What is a dry marble you ask? Dry marble is a technique where you mix and swir polishes (or gels) without the water. It could be done on the nail or on the mat. I done my on the mat, by applying the lines of polish, gently swirling it with the dotting tool, then picking it up with the flat brush and gently "pour" on the nail. That is the theory, and I am still struggling with this one. One day I will master it, but for now, my polish dries way before it gets spread out on the nail, and then I try to "fix" it by adding the lines... so far, it did not work out for me.
Even though this did not came out the way I hoped, I still ended wearing this for a few days.
Polishes that I used were as follow: for a base, I used a semi sheer polish by L'Oreal - Creme de Mint. On my pinky, I am wearing Different Dimension - Soak up the Sun.
For marbling, I used random white, Soak up the Sun and Dimension Nails - Amazonian Manatee. I also used it for the added lines painted with thin brush.
I will attempt to go to work today, even though I am far from fine and from well enough, but it is what it is. Getting out of the house, and out of my head may do me loads of good.
Wishing all of you a wonderful week ahead - It appears it will be really hot.
Cheers!
