Dry brush is easy, no tool technique where you relieve the brush that came with the nail polish off most of the polish - you can drain most of it on the neck of the bottle, or even wipe some on paper towel, then applying whatever was left on the brush on your nail. There is no rhyme or reason how you will apply it, or how many colors you will use, or in which direction.
That said, I have a slight OCD and my dry brush always ends up looking like a grid, or like a woven fabric.
Another thing is that dry brush technique is usually done over creme polish, but I like to break the rules, and I applied it over beautiful holographic polish by A England - Mrs. De Winter.
As with other A England polishes I have, this one has flawless formula and smooth application. It was fully opaque in one coat, but I like to add second one for more depth. On the swatch above, I am wearing two coats and no top coat.
Because this is pretty dark color, I decided to go bright here and I picked following polishes for my dry brush: What's Up Nails - Fab Cab (yellow); Color Club - Bright Night (violet) + All That Razz (neon pink - let's just act surprised about this choice) and Kaleidoscope - Green Neon (green).
I went for a broad, bold strokes, and even though this looked pretty, it many ways it looked unfinished to me. I did not want to brush more, as I did not wanted to cover up my pretty base.
What is girl to do, but to grab her brushes and add something over. That was not a big surprise either...
First I did a branches in white only, as I wanted a contrast, then I decided to add a black to give it more dimension. That was a good decision on my part. This was easy design that I did on both hands, and wore for last three days - this shows just how much I loved this on me.
All was topped with glossy top coat. Super easy, and really gave me some happy vibes.
Yesterday was my Cinderella duties day, and after spending all day cleaning and washing and scrubbing, I will give myself a little rest before I return to work on Monday.
Weekends never last long enough,
Have a wonderful day.
Cheers!
