Ah well...
This manicure was part of the review parcel from Born Pretty Store.
Last week or so I received 2 parcels - one sent to me few weeks ago, and one sent to me in May. I thought this was lost for sure, and even ordered again one of the items that arrived one day before this one.
In my lost or late parcel, I received a jar of Born Pretty - Chameleonic 4 in 1 Dipping Nail powder, item #48671-6 Lotusland.
Now, I never did acrylics and will not do them as some of the ingredients can cause severe allergies. I already suffer from the skin allergies, and really do not plan to add another one in the mix. That said, I ordered this powder as I hoped I can use in different purpose.
I wanted to use it like a chrome powder. What to tell you... it was all fun and games, until I accidentally dropped the jar on my desk, and pretty much half of the content was all over my desk... in my coffee, on my floor, and myself.
So here I am trying to clean up the mess before my little sidekick decide to join in the fun, with my nails half done, and praying hard not to mess them too much, as after this little mishap, I was not going to use that powder any time soon!
I started with regular black polish as a base, then I applied some of the powder on my stamper head, and then just stamped it onto my nail. That proved to be the best way for me to apply the powders without making extra mess.
On my index finger I actually mixed some with the top coat and then applied it with the brush, but that really did not work all that well for me.
This powder has amazing color shift. It is all in the same color family, but it goes from shades of green to the teal and aqua. It is so pretty. My apologies - no plain swatch, as I was about to take the photos when I moved the jar I thought I closed... After spending a good 30 minutes on clean up, it slipped my mind that I never took the photos...
I wanted something simple, so I stamped zig-zag using the black stamping polish. This was not too bad, but then I remembered that recently I did a very similar manicure in very similar color scheme - It is yet to be posted, but still bothered me enough to decide to use something different over that stamping.
Using the white stamping polish, I stamped images from Nicole Diary-L30, item #50338, stamping plate I had a pleasure of reviewing recently. I actually really loved the addition of the white, that gave some brightness to this look.
