Today I will show you part of the prize... What prize? Well, end of January Picture Polish held a Dare to Bare contest. This was the first time that Picture Polish had a contest in which you did not need to use their product - all inclusive contest. It was meant to reach wider audience, one that may not have any Picture Polishes to join, and possibly win one of the prizes. All you needed to do is to post the photo of your bare nails, and answer few questions in your caption. I did not post this here, but later I thought that was the shame, as I touch the subject that I was thinking of in a last few months. Needless to say - I participated, and couple of weeks ago, I found out that I was one of the winners. My prize was $50 for the Picture Polish site, and I picked 4 nail polishes. I was little bit over the assigned money allowance, so I happily paid the difference. As always, I regretted not adding more polishes to my cart, but considering that I was on no-buy, this was so much more than I could hope for. What I love the most about the Picture Polish orders is that I usually receive my orders within the week - even during the COVID - took 5 days to receive this order from Australia to Canada!
First polish I picked is Korma.
Korma is mustardy yellow, or honey yellow creme polish that like the rest of Picture Polishes I own has amazing formula. It applies as a dream, and was fully opaque in one smoot coat.
On the swatch above, I am wearing 2 coats and no top coat.
I absolutely love this color on my nails.
Eventually, I decided to go out of my comfort zone, and try once again to stamp with foil.
I did not have much luck in the past with this, but that never stopped me.
I picked images from Uber Chic - 15-03 for the honey comb. For image pick up I used Moyra - FP.01, special stamping polish for the foil, but also for the chrome powder.
After stamping the image on my nail, I applied small piece of dark brown foil. This foil looks so pretty, but once again, I did not have much luck with this foil before, but to my huge surprise, it worked pretty good this time. I truly have no idea where did I got this foil from.
I just could not stop, so instead of having a honey comb on one nail, I ended up covering three nails with it. That is called - going with the flow, or even better - caught in the current! LOL!
Then I picked up the bee design from Uber Chic - 5-01 and made a decal.
All was topped with Moyra - SP. Aqua Top Coat. This top coat is water based, and helps with the foils and chrome powder. As with all the other water based product, you have to allow little bit more drying time than with the regular products. I also have a discount code for Moyra, and by using my discount code SANJAMOYRA you can save 10% off of your purchase. Even though I purchased each and every item I own by Moyra myself, I attached the links for those products if you are interested in checking them out.
Once again, my subliminal message to the Spring to hurry up. I am done and over with winter. Cold + wet is really hard on my joints, and they ache constantly...
Soon enough, I keep telling myself, soon enough!
Have yourself an amazing weekend.
Cheers!
