Dilophosaurus is the dinosaur that looked very similar to much famous cousin T-Rex - Strong hind legs and tail for the balance, and small front legs. What makes it different from T-Rex? Dilophosaurus had a double crest made of keratin (like a hoof or nail) on the head, whose function is not quite clear, and had a neck frill that can be seen in some of the lizards today. That neck frill is usually flat, but if lizard is annoyed or defensive, it will raise up like a dragon wings around the neck that I believe is made to intimidate the opposition...
This whole intro was to show you polish I received couple of days ago.
Recently, Dimension Nails released a new collection, inspired by Jurassic era, named Prehistoric, and Super sweet Victoria of NailStuff.ca tucked one of the polishes with my order.
I received Dimension Nails - Dilophosaurus.
For all of you that love double duty polishes - it stamps really nice too.
You can find this polish and much more at NailStuff.ca, and for the first time customers, you can use my discount code SANJA10 to save 10% off of your purchase.
There was no way I would do anything else by dinosaur bones for this polish. Close proximity of Halloween made this decision much easier - I have no bones to pick in unearthing an dinosaur!
Good thing is that I had a perfect stamping plate by Clear Jelly Stamper - CjS LC-35 done in collaboration with Beautometry. I received it from Beautometry as a part of the My Mani Box, for which this plate was made.
I used super simple color scheme - I used Maniology - Bam! White and Esmaltes da Kelly - Doguito. Love the simplicity of this and the fact that it did not took anything from that gorgeous base.
Have an amazing day.
Cheers!
