Autumn is here in full force. I can't believe how quickly all cooled down. After a days of rain, you can really fell the chill in the air. It was so chilly, that I eventually put my heat on to chase away the chill...
That is why I have something really soft for you today.
Pretty pink base is by Color Club Lacquer - In Bloom. Lately it seems that I go straight to stamping, and forgetting to take the swatch photos... I guess I have lots on my mind these days.
Anyhow, I was really surprised to see some shimmer in this polish, only when I started to paint my nails. Formula is pretty opaque and creamy, and if you do not drag your brush too many times (it eventually dragged my base coat), this could be one coater. That said, second coat was fine. Maybe my base coat was not quite dry? I guess I will find out when I use this polish again, whenever that is.
Image I used is on Uber Chic - 21-01 stamping plate.
For stamping I used Colour Alike - Warm Sand. That seem to be my favourite stamping polish I picked up from them, and have to admit that I didn't really give much the chance to the other three I purchased.
I could of use more of the contrast here, but in the same time, it is nice to have a neutral design form time to time, especially for the office. I am spoiled, as my bosses do not mind my obsession, and first thing patients ask when they come into the office is: "Let me see your nails!"
I guess that is not the bad thing, and takes their minds even for the second why they are in the office in the first place.
To spice up this pretty plain and shy for me design, I added some gold colored studs, and decided to add little bit more sparkle by adding Maybelline - Gilded Rose as an accent nail. One coat over the pink was enough for that spark I was looking for.
Have to admit that I loved this soft and feminine look, and some days, less is more. In the end, I was glad I did not use stronger stamping polish, and I ended wearing this for few days.
It appears that I am pretty talkative today, it must be my fever speaking... so mind any typos...
Cheers!
