I learned that polygel is true hybrid between hard gel and acrylic. I usually don't use hard gel, as I can't commit to them, and thing is, you can't really remove them. You can do lots of filing, but you have to wait until it grows out. That would be my limited experience with the hard gels.
Ice Blossom is clear polygel, and faith would have it that middle finger on my Cindy just broke down (again), and I refused to chop the rest of the nails down.
I used this polygel to extend my middle finger nail.
I started by applying a soak off gel base coat (full sized bottle of base coat yesterday). I picked the nail form that would fit my nail, and I applied some of the polygel onto the form, then using the flat brush and slipping solution, I patted down the polygel and spreaded it evenly onto the form.
I applied the form onto my nail, cured and removed the form.
Next thing was cutting and filing the extension to match my other nails in length. I cleaned all created dust, applied the soak off top coat, and I was good to go.
Cindy was more than happy to model this one, even though struggle was real.
I did a little photo collage to show you the process.
I have to say that I am not a professional, and all I know I learned on my own.
