It is hard to believe that Christmas is 2 weeks away! Yikes!
Plan is to finish with decorations - they been planned for the last weekend, but you know what happens to the best laid plans. Hope all goes smooth.
That will not preventing me from opening the next prize in Madam Glam limited edition Advent Calendar. Advent Calendar is currently out of stock, and I will let you know if it is in stock again.
Day 11 brings a shiny Silver Foil, another exclusive to the Advent Calendar. You get 4x100cm piece of the Silver Foil, and that my friends is enough for several manicures.

I was considering not to review the foil, but then I changed my mind. I needed something more festive than so far was provided from the calendar. Colors are great, but on the somber side, and I needed something more festive.
This was the opportunity to use nice and bright base. I used Madam Glam - Hero Turquoise, super pretty gel with amazing formula that is fully opaque in one smooth coat. I applied 2 color coats over soak off Gel Base coat.
I did not have much luck in applying the foil so far, as my apex (center of the nail) is pretty high, and every time I tried full nail application, I would end up with all of those tiny little lines radiating from middle of the nail towards outside... not really look I want, as it upsets me...
I am in a luck, as partial application is all the rage. I wanted for the foil to look like icicles, so I applied the glue to create dry brush kid of effect, even though that was not the easiest feat to pull... All in all, I was pretty satisfied how this ended up looking.
Right after the application of the foil, I sealed the foil with No Wipe Top Coat, so it would not get tarnished by air and natural skin oils if I accidentally touch it. Better safe than sorry!
When applying the foil, make sure that matte side is the one that you will turn towards the nail.
when using the nail glue, wait for the glue to dries until clear, then apply the foil, and apply light pressure. All you need is to lift the film, and shiny foil should be transferred to your nail.
All that I needed to do is to stamp some snowflakes for the winter look.
I used images from Dixie Plates - Christmas 2017, and double stamped them first with black, then with white.
I was pretty happy with this results.
Now, I will just wish all of you restful weekend.
Cheers!
