Once again, I received an Advent Calendar from Madam Glam to share with you. Just like the last year, there is 25 days to reveal, but this year Madam Glam upped their game, and tossed few surprises. Last year there were 24 mini bottles and big surprise for the day 25, and this year there are some full sized bottles and couple of surprises along the way.
I will reveal the colors only, and in my post in the future I will use the items I did not reveal for you, and will let you know under which day of the calendar those items were hiding.
The Advent Calendar contains:
- 12 Mini Size Soak-Off Gels - in value of $52.02
- 6 Regular Size Soak-Off Gels - in value of $119.70
- 5 Mini Polygels - in value of $104.02
- 4 Nail Accessories - in value of $ 169.88
Let me start with the Day 1.
Day 1 gave us full sized bottle of never revealed shade named Glow. Well, Glow is named this way with the reason - Big surprise is that this baby glows in the dark! This is my first ever glow in the dark soak off gel polish!
Those kind of the polishes are fun, but have to admit that glow in the dark shades keep me awake at night. Not sure why.
On the side note, glow in the dark pigment made this soak off gel polish little bit thicker and with that little bit harder to apply evenly, at least for me.
You know that my discount code SANJA30 will apply to most products in the store.
This would be great summer shade, or great for Halloween.
Apologies for lower quality of the glow in the dark photos - I had to take them with my phone, as my camera did not like the dark, and I was unable to disable the flash.
I knew I want to add some fun image that will also allow Glow to shine through, or should I rather say glow through.
Ended up picking the image from Uber Chic - 7-03 stamping plate. For stamping, I used the Maniology - Straight-Up Black, then I stamped over using Kaleidoscope - Aurora Borealis. This particular stamping polish is color shifting and on the light colors it stamps nude, while over the black looks blue.
I was actually pleasantly surprised how well I layered this as Aurora Borealis was pretty much invisible on my stamper head.
I hope you will like this glow-y surprise from Madam Glam, and the way I used it here.
Advent calendar is still available, and was on significant sale last night when I was writing this post.
Cheers!
