First prompt of the month is Textile. I could not just do any textile, you also have to include the photo of your inspiration, and challenge is to use Creative Shop stamping plates only...
In the insert to the right, I included a little photo of my inspiration.
Once upon the time, I felt very brave, and I purchased this little dress with interesting almost the snake skin print, but for really interesting color scheme: olive green and purple. It is quite possible that I was sold on this color combo alone. Purchase was impulsive, and even though this dress is hanging in my closet for several years, I think I wore it once. I am just not quite that brave to wear it, hence the title.
Snake skin pattern seems to attract my attention, but I am not that wild.
Image I used is on Creative Shop 16 stamping plate.
As a base, I used pretty sheer OPI - Act Your Beige. Decided to do it over the sheer base more like a negative space than exact replica.
For stamping, I used Esmaltes da Kelly - Lili (lighter green), Faisca (deep olive green) and Max (purple). In a nutshell, I triple stamped the same image using these three colors.
I also added some Ever After - Peep show - yellow holographic polish in the center of every diamond...
Because my inspiration pattern is little bit tighter than the stamping image, I added some more color by adding some more of Lili and Faisca using a fine tipped brush.
Wish me the luck!
Cheers!
